Dizziness & Vertigo – Spiritual Causes, Meaning, Symptoms, Prevention

Vertigo is a sense of rocking, rotation, or the world spinning, experienced even when someone is perfectly still.

Meniere’s Disease

This condition is the inflammation of the vestibular nerve, that runs from the inner ear and sends important messages to the brain which help to control balance.

Head Injuries 

These symptoms can occur after a brain or head injury. This type of injuries can be quite serious for numerous other reasons, hence, it is always recommended to seek medical advice if they happen.

Acoustic Neuroma 

It is also referred as vestibular schwannoma and is a non-cancerous growth on the vestibular nerve, that connects the inner ear to your brain.


Individuals who regularly have migraines may experience these symptoms even when they’re not having a migraine. These episodes can last from minutes to a few hours.

These symptoms can be caused by the existence of excessive ambition and/or an acute desire for perfection. Another common cause is a permanent feeling of concern. This is due to the fact that you are giving too much importance to the rational part of your mind for too long. Find your balance by becoming aware of what is happening inside yourself and by following your intuition. Let things flow and unfold naturally without judging them. This will weaken the tension and create space for peace, love and joy.



It is recommended to sleep with your head slightly raised on two pillows.

Lower Your Stress Levels

Some conditions which can cause these symptoms can be triggered by too much stress. Therefore, by lowering your stress levels (like practicing 20 minutes of mindfulness meditation daily) you reduce your chances of experiencing these symptoms.

Physical Exercise

Practice regular moderate physical exercise and experience proper muscle recovery. Also, physical exercise is effective for controlling stress as well as lowering blood pressure levels.


If the cause of these symptoms is inflammation, like – labyrinthitis, it is recommended to follow a regular diet high in anti-inflammatory foods, particularly those which are high in omega-3 fatty acids.

Foods high in omega 3 include – wild rice, cashews, red kidney beans, millet, kale, pinto beans, macadamia nuts, navy beans, pistachios, rice bran, soybeans, sesame seeds, mung beans, walnuts, pecans, chia seeds, and flax seeds (the best source).
